Step 7 of 815-20 min per client

Simple Onboarding (15-20 min)

Key Message: Keep onboarding simple. 15-20 minutes max. Don't overwhelm them with technical details.

Why Simple Onboarding Matters

Most agencies overcomplicate onboarding. They schedule hour-long calls, send 20-page documents, and try to teach clients how to use every feature.

Your clients don't need to know how the system works. They need to know how to handle leads when they come in. That's it.

The 15-Minute Kickoff Call

Schedule a short kickoff call to get them ready. Here's the agenda:

1. Welcome & Excitement (2 minutes)

Congratulate them on taking action. Remind them why they signed up and what results to expect.

"I'm excited to get started! Over the next 30 days, we're going to fill your calendar with qualified leads. Here's how it works..."

2. Gather Assets (5 minutes)

Get what you need to launch:

  • • Logo (high-res)
  • • 3-5 photos of their work/location
  • • Service menu/pricing (if not already researched)
  • • Any specific offers they want to promote

3. Explain Lead Flow (5 minutes)

Walk them through what happens when a lead comes in:

  • • Lead fills out form on Facebook
  • • They receive instant email/SMS notification
  • • Lead gets automated follow-up sequence
  • • Client calls/texts lead to book appointment
  • • Lead can also self-book via calendar link

Key point: They need to respond to leads within 5 minutes. Speed matters.

4. Set Expectations (3 minutes)

Be clear about timeline and results:

  • • Ads go live within 24-48 hours
  • • First leads typically come in within 3-7 days
  • • It takes 2-3 weeks to optimize for best results
  • • Goal: 10-20 qualified leads per month

5. Answer Questions (2 minutes)

Open floor for any questions. Keep it brief.

What NOT to Do

Avoid these common onboarding mistakes:

Don't teach them how to use GoHighLevel

They don't need to log in. You manage everything. Keep it simple.

Don't send them 20-page onboarding documents

They won't read it. Keep communication verbal and visual.

Don't overpromise results

"You'll get 50 leads in week 1!" is setting yourself up for failure. Be realistic.

Don't delay launch

Get ads live within 24-48 hours. Momentum matters.

Post-Onboarding Communication

After the kickoff call, send a simple follow-up:
